This is a pepper that is new to me that I’m growing this year. I tried last fall without success, but my spring planting has one plant that has set some fruit. Here’s the blurb from Baker Creek where I purchased my seeds, and it gives a suggested pronunciation. www.rareseeds.com/pepper-sweet-txorixeroI’m planning to let these turn completely red so that I can save seeds and dry them for grinding into paprika. I’m excited that they’re so long already.

I have three Txorixero plants growing, and I’ve been picking some green peppers here and there. They’re quite mild. I’ve been letting the two peppers that were first to develop mature to red for seed saving, and I just picked them last night ahead of the scorching day expected today [not that we haven’t been having a whole bunch of scorchers recently]. They’re a beautiful red color. I’m tempted to string them up to dry naturally, but I haven’t quite decided what I’ll do.
