I've planted many different okra varieties this season, but only a few of each, other than; heavy hitter (HH), sea island red (SIR), and french quarter red (FQR). Those 3 are part of a breeding project to, hopefully, produce a dark red/purple variety of a HH type plant.
Once I capture some fresh pics I'll add them to this thread, along with the pics.

Of all the various okra varieties I'm growing right now, blondy seems to be the one with the least amount of red anywhere on the plant. It seems to have a tiny bit of pink on the upper leaf surface, immediately adjacent to where the petiole attaches underneath.

Tucson,
Those sure are some good-looking okra plants!
Ours out here are not even half that size yet. We've had nighttime lows in the fifties for so long that the plants just got stuck on 'idle' for several weeks.

What's amazing to me is the hybrid vigor of the F1, 'Star of David' x 'Alabama Red'. They were actually germinated and planted out after some of the other varieties, but are easily more than twice the size of any other okra plant I'm presently growing.

Oh, Wow! Tucson!
Is that just one plant inside that pot?
If so, NICE! That's a beefy rascal! Do they sell cattle supplement tubs where you live? Here, the Farmer's Co-op sells used mineral lick tubs for about $4.00 each. The old used tubs hold about 25 gallons of liquid or about 250 pounds of mineral supplements. They make great pots for pet okra bushes like that one appears to want to be.
Here, I purchase a 4 wheel furniture dolly from the lumber yard and put a small plywood or pallet wood layer across the top, and screw it down, just so my big pot will not tip over so easily, then I cut a couple of holes for water to drain, and fill the pot full of topsoil. That way, I can tow it around behind the mower if it needs more sunlight, or move it under shelter if it hails or whatever.
Once again, really nice work! Thanks, for sharing that.

It's actually 3, in a 15 gallon pot. I do have a few 25 gallon fabric pots available. I'll probably try some okra plants in some of those.
I haven't yet, had the chance to check about the mineral tubs. I'm presently without working transportation. My nephew has a vintage Chevy S-10, which he lets his dad and I borrow, every so often.
