I feel like my seedlings need a boost. My fish emulsion thickened to the point it won't come out of the bottle. Last time I used it the dogs ate the seedings, anyway. So I ordered some Espoma liquid on Amazon and some Super thrive. Anyone use it? Did I waste my money?

I have some SuperThrive but have only used it in a concoction to revive very old seeds. Can't comment much.

I'm anxious to hear about someone using SuperThrive too. I have some that came with the peat pellets I bought this year, but I was leery about using it on my tomato and pepper plants. Looking forward to hearing more about it from confirmed users.

I will tell you both things I ordered must be made of gold. Very small bottles for more than $10 each. I plan to water with them today.

Thank you. I guess my fat finger only activated settings when I tried to figure it out. Usually I can easily do desktop mode with my tablet, but proboards is exceptionally wide and awkward in desktop mode.

I did put a few drops of superthrive in the water yesterday, as well as Espoma liquid tomato tone. I have no control for the experiment so it won't be scientific. These poor seedlings aren't getting the attention they need.

I too have some, but haven’t used it much. I forget why I bought it. Probably thought to myself “why not.” Haha! Wait a second, after reading what macmex said, I remember why I bought it. It was to try my hand at reviving old seed. Mine is a few years old, the bottle is open, so surely I tried it. I don’t remember if it worked. I’m a lot of help, huh?

An FYI to those following this thread. The main ingredients are vitamin B1 and kelp. I know kelp is supposed to be a good soil amendment. I don't see it hurting anything. I have a seaweed fertilizer that was applied to the seedlings earlier, but it claims to promote root growth.

i bought a gallon of it about twenty years ago. It was super expensive. (yes they sell gallons if you order it) It probably lasted for fifteen years or so. It is hard to say with these types of gimmicky products if they are worth it or not. I would use it if I had some seedling s that looked like they needed something but not sure what. The stuff contains micronutrients and I believe also some IBA (indole butyric Acid) which is a plant hormone that induces rooting. A good organic fertilizer with kelp or fish would probably provide the same type of complete nutrition as superthrive. Like the others are saying it certainly won't hurt to use what you have, just follow the directions, it only takes a minute amount of the stuff in a gallon or two of water.

Amy with the supethrive at least you won't have your dogs, cats, raccoons etc attracted to your plants. Those stinky fish fertilizers can attract problems. LOL
