The Cherokee Striped Cornhill Beans that I planted right before the heavy rain last week are coming up very well. I planted them in a place completely striped by the grasshoppers. They had striped that row bare and moved on, hopefully, they don't decide to move back soon. Since the fire swept through, there is nothing there for them to eat in that location except the beans that are coming up.

I’ll be watching this. I’ve never grown these, so I’m very interested!

I've been reading posts about this bean from a couple of years ago, looks to be an outstanding variety. Best of luck with them, heavyhitterokra.
It has become increasingly evident lately that there is an abundant quantity of excellent bean variety choices. I have already made my picks for next year, and I have every intention of sticking to my picks, but boy oh boy, it's tough not to fall for the 'the grass is always greener on the other side' metaphor, and change picks. This one looks great too...

Oh I wouldn’t say you’ve made your final picks yet. LAUGHING!’ Seriously though. Pick yourself a bean or few and run with them. Don’t fall for us enablers, we’ll corrupt you!
You get to talking about and collecting beans and you will be led down a rabbit hole!

You get to talking about and collecting beans and you will be led down a rabbit hole! Boy I know, I've already caught myself thinking, "well instead of that one, this one might be better, or that other one I saw a few minutes ago might be better than either one".
As of this writing, I've stuck to my original two. Wood's Crazy & Tennessee Cut Short.
I'll admit it though, I'm having random undecided thoughts about corn too, now I'm leaning towards Cherokee Squaw.
Note to Self: Don't let the utopian bean fantasies overtake you, & don't let the visions of bean perfection dance around in your head..
EDIT: Order is being sent in, so I won't change my mind on any of these.

(Just kidding) but seriously, you guys crack me up! I smiled all the way through the comments here.
George got me hooked on Cherokee Striped Cornhill last year, after he kindly picked a mess of them for our table. Best beans I ever ate, bar none.

I believe you, heavyhitterokra, and I have a confession, I tried to find seed for the Cherokee Striped Cornhill Beans, but couldn't find them anywhere.
Oh well, maybe I can find some of the seeds for them eventually.

Well, technically I didn't change my mind on the first order from Sand Hill. But I mailed a 2nd order to them a couple of days later. Today I got 'em all in the same bag!! This is Order #2. Order #1 is in a previous post above...
