I'm saturated with the seeds I already have and want to maintain but sometimes I can't help looking at Sustainable Mountain Agriculture's website to see what they have. Wow! Quite literally, almost any one of their beans could be enough to satisfy a bean lover's needs. The quality and diversity of these beans blows me away.

I love that site, George. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent there over the years. I’ve got more beans than I can shake a stick at, so I’m not clinking that link. I’m not...Nooo, must resist!

What blows me away is that the majority of the varieties they list are superstars; as in a person could probably grow just one of them and enjoy it for life. That's how most of these varieties were maintained for generations. Yet now a person could "binge" on superstar bean varieties if they pleased.

macmexExactly! Those are tried and true. If I had the resources, I’d be growing every one of them.
