We grow 36 plants (or so) a year, probably consisting of a dozen or so different varieties. Every year I try a few new ones. Here's a few of the varieties we grew this year. Matt's Wild Cherry - early, prolific, rampant until frost. Easily grows to 10-12 ft. Great snack while IN the garden lol. Frequently self-sows. We grow it every year. Virginia's Yellow Tommy Toe - From Bill Best. Prolific until frost. Great, heirloom flavor. Another garden snacker. We also grow this one every year. Moneymaker - New to me variety this year. Prolific, nice flavor, vines to 8-10 ft. Attractive, golf ball size. Aptly named - probably do very well at market. Valley Paste - Developed by me via selective cross. F10. Seems to have stabilized. Large and Very meaty. Good canner. Moonglow - another one new to me this year. Great color. Good slicer. Nice flavor. Will grow again. Beauty King - also new to me this year. Pretty, ain't it! Large size, uniform shape, good flavor. Will grow again. Might have market appeal?

These are so beautiful! Thanks Rick! Would you mind if I used these photos in Homesteading Edu's upcoming course on tomatoes?

Thanks Rick, as is often the case, I find myself elbow deep in a new course and short on photos. Of course, this is not the time of year to go out in the garden and take some pictures of tomatoes!

I understand this is caused by the tomato being stored in cold storage before being ripened (artificially). The fruit aren't dangerous to eat, but they are rather unappetizing. Of course, few store bought tomatoes, of the larger types, are appetizing.
