From the village Oklahoma. I’ve grown okra for my own use for about 3 years now. Favorite of mine. I grow Clemson and a red okra variety. Not sure if the name but it’s pretty good and just fun to have red! It’s very hard right now to give them enough water but mine are still producing quite well. Cutting every day and sometimes twice! Would be very interested in trying a few new plants for next year. So excited to join my first board since I am elderly, so please excuse any mistakes I make. Thank you.

Welcome! I'm pretty sure we can get you fixed up with some seed. That's great that you're into okra! It's one of those crops which are just taylor made for Oklahoma. I grow Stewarts Zeebest and AfricanX, which is an experimental variety one of our members is working on. I like them both.
Also, drop in on Ron Cook's Heavy Hitter Okra Thread and you can read about Heavyhitter, which is a superb variety, which Ron has developed over the course of many years.
We love participation, so don't be shy. Ask questions, make suggestions and "visit" with us!
