Hey folks!
When we had our August meeting we agreed to hold our local meeting the first Sunday of the month, each month, until January, at least. We decided we would make Napoles Italian Restaurant, in Tahlequah, our default meeting place, unless someone offered us a better option for a given month.
We also talked about showing up at the Antique Agriculture Festival, at the Murrell Home, this coming Saturday. We want to put up a table and display some produce. The idea is simply to meet people and share about our group and how we promote the knowledge and skills for preserving heritage food crops. It should be fun.
Dates for our meetings should be:
October 2 November 6 December 4 January 8 (to skip New Years)
“October 2 is passed,” you say? Yes it is! I forgot, and I suspect the few who knew, also forgot, except for John Nunnery, who reminded me last night!
My wife was in the hospital during our last meeting and my father was about to undergo bypass heart surgery. I got somewhat distracted. Sorry!
I’m writing this from the hospital now. Jerreth is back in the hospital. Hopefully we can nail this problem and get on with life soon! Prayers are appreciated.
George

I am still in the hospital with my wife, who had major surgery yesterday. There is no way I can go to this event tomorrow. Ron Cook (heavyhitterokra) is planning to go. I will try to print out a few things for a table display and bag up some seed samples to hand out. No promises. But I'll try.
