I grow mostly heirloom plants. The bell peppers I planted this year are third year seeds. They just started bearing a few weeks ago and the peppers are deformed. Also they were red pepper seeds and I have only gotten one red one so far. This has never happened to me before.
The tomatoes played out - too late to make salsa, so the peppers will be dehydrated. We dehydrated about 15 last night and got about a 1/2 pint jar of diced peppers.

This was a bad year for peppers. Last year, I grew bell peppers so big that my customers accused me of importing them from out of State. This year, they were deformed, blemished, small, and never really even took off.
I don't know what the difference was?
Maybe too wet, and too cool, early in the year?

Two out of three hot pepper varieties I planted flopped this year. I don't know what was going on. We mainly use hot peppers, and I'm glad we've dehydrated quite a few over the last several years. Hopefully next year will be better.
