Folks, Sorry June rolled right on by without us having a meeting. It's been wild! Let's shoot for meeting on Sunday July 26 at 2:00 PM. I will post about location in the coming week. Anyone have a suggestion for a special topic to discuss?
For those who are not near our meeting, don't worry. It is my hope that we can have a good community through the web site. I'd also love, someday, to hear of others who meet like we do, in other locals.

Jimle, I will soon have specifics on the place we'll meet. But, of course, it would be too far for you, unless you happen to be up this way on vacation. What I was getting at, is that it is my dream that someday we'll have sufficient members, from other locations, who would then decide to try meeting like we do here, around Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Okay, I reserved the banquet room at Napolis Italian Restaurant: 901 S. Muskogee Ave., Tahlequah, OK
Time: 2:00-4:00 PM
Topics: Will give demonstration on how to process tomato seed in order to save it for replanting as well as discuss how to store seeds for best germination.
Will also discuss how to save bean and squash seed and what a gardener can plant for the remainder of this growing season.

We're going to shoot for Friday, October 9 at 7 PM. This time we'll be meeting at Ron Cook's place. Ron is the originator of Heavy Hitter Okra. He has a little campground behind his home (and next to his garden). We're planning to do a campfire with some refreshments and take time to "talk garden varieties of 2015" as well as seed saving. I'm hoping to do a write up on it and get it into the paper. Bngbid, welcome! Take a little time to introduce yourself.
