Hey folks, Here are details for this month's meeting of Green Couintry Seed Savers. We're going to meet on Sunday May 24 at Napoli's Italian Restaurant. The topics we're planning to address is 1) Beans and 2) Three sisters gardening. Three sisters gardening refers to combining corn, beans and squash in a mutually beneficial relationship. This style of gardening has both advantages and disadvantages. But I do use it sometimes. Anyway, we're going to deal with both. Recently I heard from a good friend, of many years, who LOVES to garden. But he had NEVER grown beans! It was good for me to realize that there are gardeners out there who don't know “beans about beans.” This is so easily remedied! So, for those close enough to come out. We hope to see you at 2:00 PM on the 24th. If anyone who reads this, and would also like to receive an e-mail notice in the future, please message me with your e-mail address. Hey folks,
I should have reserved Napolis Italian Restaurant's banquet room weeks ago. As it was, I kept getting tied up with other things and thinking, "I'll just do it tomorrow..." Well, I went in on Tuesday, and they said the banquet room was reserved for a group, Sunday, between 2 and 4 PM. But the reservation book didn't say for whom it was reserved. I tried to determine if it was reserved for us, as, weeks ago, the Tahlequah Daily Press had stated that we were meeting there. But they couldn't tell me. Finally, last night, they just said that it was reserved for someone else. Anyway, today, I'm going to check with The China Super Buffet, near Walmart, in Tahlequah. More info to come.

Hey folks, due to extreme rain and flooding, we are going to cancel the meeting for today (Sunday, May 24, 2015). Apparently we had 18" of rain overnight and there is more on the way! There is much flooding. Stay home and be safe. We'll set another date.
