The link below leads to a well-written article about using weeds as a natural indicator of your soil's health, mineral content, and condition.  (Many of the names I didn't recognize), because there are so many names for the same weeds across this great Nation, but there were enough common names that I did recognize to make the article worth reading.  The weeds I didn't know by name were easily identified with a short Google search.
