The following video shows how a man shortened the 4 to 5 month process of germinating a Jujube seed to only about 4 days, by cutting the hard seed hull away from the kernal inside, then using George's warm, moist, paper towel method to soak the bare seed kernal in a warm, sealed Ziplock bag.
I went to the park today and found some ripe, shriveled Jujube fruit still hanging on the trees, so I brought a few home to experiment with. (I left plenty more for the next guy/gals that come along).
Jujube fruits ripen in October and have exquisite flavor, making them very much worth the hassle of harvesting the tiny fruits.

I drove out to the park in Tahlequah where the Jujube trees grow. They had some exceptional fruits this season!
This is a video containing information on several cultivars of Jujbe trees for your home garden or orchard.

Jujube fruits are way crispier than any apple and way sweeter too. Apples are about all I can think of to compare them to. It's amazing how good they are, though only about as big as a large marble in most cases around here.
