I finally got some time to start digging. Probably won't get them all dug this year like last year. It's just so easy to get carried away planting slips. Most of my Farmer's Market Friends have been diggng for the past month so I am way behind (as usual), but had lots of family issues to deal with as of late.
Anyway, I started digging last night (Sept 29) with variety 8633 and if everything does as well as it did this year, I would have tons of sweets. Of couse I know they won't all be that good. I planted 32 hills and have dug over 7, 5 gallon buckets and not finished yet. They are a bit bigger than I like, but that's what I get for waiting so long to dig.
the soil it a bit hard and makes digging harder, but we are supposed to get some rain Thursday so that should soften the soil.
One variety down 149 to go.......... LOL
Next up will be Georgia Jet or maybe Grand Asia...

I started only a day or two ahead of you, and you got more done than I have. Only dug three hills of Cordners Red. They are a bit smaller than last year, but still very respectable. For me, getting started is the hardest part. Hopefully I can get in to full swing this weekend.
