Hello! Just signed in as I'm looking for information on Ruth's Bible beans. I love to grow pole beans and anything else that grows well in Seattle, are productive, tasty and beautiful. Smelling good and attract pollinators is very important to me too.I could spend all winter reading your posts of gardening in other areas and hope to visit them some day. Thanks so much for the information.

Saun, welcome! We're thrilled to have you join us, though, as you alluded, your climate is very different than what most of our folk experience. I have a son in Seattle.
The mention of Ruth Bible Pole Bean will get me going! How did you become interested in this bean? I have some pods on the counter, ready to snap and a good deal of seed which still needs to be treated to avoid weevils. Here's a link to what is almost certainly the most information you'll find on this bean on the internet. I'm trying to do a couple of these a year, though it's quite time consuming.

This is a great bean!
