My folks in Tulsa just messaged me that there was an earthquake in Oklahoma last night.
Did y’all feel or hear that?

We didn't but we have friends, even locally, who did. I believe it as a 5.2. In Mexico I experienced that magnitude. I was i bed and it felt like someone had picked up the foot of the bed, a few inches and then let it drop.
We had another, some years ago, right near here. It wasn't that large but it did wake me up. It also put cracks in the ceiling of our living room.

Yeah, we felt it. Even in Cushing, it was big. Different than those created by the injection wells in 2014, tho. It was smooth rather than a jolt. My floor framing was swaying, almost swimming but not jarring. It felt like it was the movement on the outer edge of a massive natural plate movement originating somewhere else.
Prayers for those in the zone.

Yes, definitely felt it here. I'm 17 miles from the epicenter and it gave my recliner a pretty good thumping. It was not as bad as the one we had here in 2011, that one registered 5.7. The 5.7 shook the walls of the house and made some cracks in the floor. The one last night registered 5.1 & did not last as long either, but from the reports I saw it was a relatively shallow earthquake, so it was felt for longer distances.

That does make sense.

I didn't feel the quake here. I didn't even know we had one until someone mentioned it in church this morning. It sounds like those are getting to be a pretty regular thing around here.

I just heard about the quake. Glad everybody is ok and things weren't any worse than they were.
