Old Virginia Brown cornfield beans 9. Black winter squash 10. Red Irish potatoes 11. Yellow Pearl hominy corn 12. Spanish Red sweet potatoes 13. Red Indian (Cherokee red flour corn) 14. Crawdad beans 15. Cutshort beans (strains from Madison County, Arkansas) 16. Kettle gourd (older strain from Native Americans) 17. Osage greyhorse corn 18. Cherokee brown dent corn 19. Red popcorn (from the Cherokee) 20. Green popcorn (also from the Cherokee) 21. Quapaw brown flour corn 22. Caddo gourd 23. Caddo flour corn 24. Red cutshort beans (older strains) 25. Old Time Cherokee mustard 26. Black tomato (smaller version of the Cherokee Purple) 27. Cherokee cherry tree 28. Cherokee field bean 29. Big grain Cherokee white flour ( smaller type of the regular Cherokee white flour corn) 30. Cherokee purple flour corn That's all I'm listing for now unless anybody can share with some more rarer types of crops once belonged to Native Americans and settlers of the Appalachians and Ozarks. My restoration gardens will be an example of what agriculture looks like centuries ago before and during European contact. Please reach me if you all need me. Take care!
