Folks, I suspect most here already know this but I still think I should post a warning for the record. Every now and then we undergo an "attack" by new users who are spamming the forum. Most of the time they appear to come out of Asia, though I doubt that Asia has a corn on the market when it comes to this kind of thing. I also suspect that 99% of the time the actual "user" is a bot (abbreviation for robotic entity). Often they post images and those images usually contain hyperlinks.
Never click on one of those images or links of any kind in their posts!
No one ever goes through the bother of producing a false user ID and making a post just because they have some time on their hands. These posts are most likely to be malicious and dangerous to the one who clicks on them. So, please, ignore these posts.
When I see them I log out and back into the primary Administrator's account. Then I delete the post and ban the "user," replete with their IP address. However, oftentimes they will return several times, apparently using some cyber trick to present a new IP address. I have to repeat the process for several days until they move off to a forum which has less moderation.

Thanks for doing that moderation to keep the forum safe, macmex. I appreciate it.
