Just a few years ago I had managed to start only one beefsteak tomato plant, but wanted many more. I quickly cloned a few more. Unfortunately this particular plant had all its fruits, including the clones, develop nasty cats-eye. At least they tasted very good.

Did you do cuttings? I miss that aspect of living in a warmer (longer warm season) climate. When we lived in the Bajío, in Central Mexico, I had months to do things like that. Now, a cutting rarely has time to really make enough fruit to justify doing it.

Yep, I took about 6 cuttings, but just stuck them where I wanted them to grow, they did fine.
