As I sit here, inside, due to rain, I'm thinking about the local; tumbleweed (Kali tragus), also known as Russian Thistle. I was wondering about it appearing to be, only good as a nectar source for my bees. Word is, when the plants are young they are good livestock forage.
A pic of the flower (they come in pink/red and white)->

Looks beautiful! I haven't read anything about tumbleweed for a long time. What's the honey like?

Every time I see a tumbleweed, I expect Clint Eastwood to ride in.
Oklahoma State Uni has some data on tumbleweed in Oklahoma: says it is the Russian version that we see floating around, blocking roads and consuming abandoned homes. They don’t very much like it.

Tucson,
Those are beautiful. I've only seen them in Winter while crossing the desert headed for the West Coast. I didn't know they blossomed. Thanks, for sharing that.
