LOL...Those cans were CUTE--about the size of a spool of thread--but I never messed with any....and my beloved grandmother usually had brown stains on the corners of her mouth, too...

Way back in the day, they had snuff pellets. I’m not sure if they stuck them up their nose or what, but my best friend’s granddaddy had a tin can of them. My buddy was curious, me not so much. LAUGHING!!! I don’t think he ever put anything else up his nose! Hahaha!
He and I are still best friends. Hardly a day goes by we don’t speak to one another. He’s the same one that when I was in high school and had pneumonia, he discovered the ZZ Top Fandango album and had to come get me to ride around and listen to it. He figured I’d been in bed long enough and it was time to ride around. Mom had a fit because I had promised to stay in bed till my fever broke. I think the fever had broken, but I was still supposed to be recuperating. That tape had been out 3 or 4 years, but it was “New” to us.

My grandma dipped Honest snuff. I still have a few of those old snuff glasses around here somewhere. She put it under her tongue and always kept a spit can handy right beside her rocking chair. Grandpa rolled his own smokes, using Prince Albert tobacco. I keep my Wahoo dice and marbles in an old Prince Albert tobacco can, so they are always easy to find when we play at family gatherings.

Hand pollinated 3 Tromboncino flowers this morning. Would love to get seeds from one, but frosty conditions probably won't give them time to mature...

Well, there's always next year, Lord willing. When you get seed, dry it well and stash it in an air tight container in the freezer. That way you'll have enough seed for years, or, to share with friends.

That way you'll have enough seed for years, or, to share with friends. That's exactly right, macmex. Even though it was not smooth sailing, I know I can grow them now and I'll plant earlier next year. And Thank You for the info on saving the seeds...
