Wow. Can you send us some pictures, please? It might provide some cheer for those of us whose gardens have not succeeded so well this year.

Wow. Can you send us some pictures, please? It might provide some cheer for those of us whose gardens have not succeeded so well this year. Sure thing! Here's a picture of the WindridgeX patch. You can see that I have let several pods mature - most of those have strings around them to indicate that they were bagged and self-pollinated for next year. And just for fun - here is a picture from Shenandoah National Park yesterday. We got up there and it was misty and 71°! We had a Texas relative with us and while we were there I think she decided to extend her visit. 😊

Mercy me, hedgeapple, your okra looks awesome! <<---(Shockingly awesome)
I don't blame your Texas relative for that, 71° during the day would be a nice change...

Thank you, Hedgeapple, for all those beautiful pictures. Your okra is looking amazing, and your other photos of your harvest and your flowers look like they belong in a marketing catalog. I’d love to know the particular varieties of the plants.
I grew up not in but near the Shenandoah Valley, and I have many fond memories of places and people there. Your picture made me get a little teary. Thanks for sharing it.

Saw this Giant Leopard Moth caterpillar while checking for tomorrow's flowers. Lots going on in this garden at night.

I've got four competitors for "best of year" in this category now. Each is over 6' and one must be 7', all branching. Most of the pods I bagged and self pollinated a while back are maturing (some splitting) so in a week or two I'll remove most and hopefully give these plants a production bump into the end of the season.

Congratulations, Hedgeapple. That’s excellent news that you’ve got such flourishing plants with maturing seed.

heavyhitterokra . Thank You for this post! I saw it yesterday, but I believe this is your edited version, or, I'm losing brain cells at a faster rate of speed than my earlier calculations revealed.
Please consider your comments X210.
And I will add that you yourself heavyhitterokra, are truly gifted with a mountain of knowledge, which you share freely, and it is much appreciated.
And by the way, if not for our friendship, I would not be here on the forum. (uh-oh, I was halfway hoping for ooohs and ahhhs there...Tough crowd today)
Thank You!!
