Every so often I find myself explaining the difference between a determinate and an indeterminate tomato and how to treat them differently. I just found this article from LSU that covers the topic briefly and concisely with a couple of great illustrations of some basic pruning. I thought I’d put it here so that I can find it again when I need it and also as a resource for others who may visit the site. www.lsuagcenter.com/topics/lawn_garden/home_gardening/vegetables/home_garden_crops/pruningtomatoes

I try to avoid those determinant varieties, whenever possible. Some years, though seldom, my season may be year-'round, I wouldn't want anything to arbitrarily hinder that possibility.
Thanks for the info. Good to know.
