My Family was Sharecroppers when I was born. After College, I was a Bookkeeper for over 55 years. As a sideline from my profession, I developed a cattle ranch. I've had a garden most of the time. At present, I have reduced down to container gardening. Several years ago, a friend got me interested into seed saving, which I enjoy. I have found most plants have to be reacclimated to Oklahoma, to do good. Looking forward to reading the information here.

Great to hear from you, Calvin! New members are always appreciated here. My grandma and grandpa were share croppers too. I still remember being too small to pick cotton, but sitting in the car, parked under a shade tree watching Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Ida, and Mama picking a field, wishing they'd turn me loose to go help.
When they told me I was going to Kindergarten that Fall, I had in my head that it was going to be a big garden (kinder'garden' not kindergarten). I was so looking forward to that. I was so disappointed to find out later that it was only school. Looking forward to reading some of your future posts.
Ron
