This will be an interesting trial Bon. I've seen the lean-and-lower technique used in hoop / green houses, but not outside in the "elements". Personally, I consider myself lucky if I can get my tomatoes caged before they sprawl all over the ground lol. All the pruning and maintenance required for lean-and-lower seems to exceed my abilities (or desires), but perhaps your future successes will change my mind.
