rdback,
Wonderful photo!
Having come from the manual type, 35 mm generation, It's still quite amazing to me, just how much a fellow can do with a camera nowadays. Not too many years ago, shots like the one you posted above would only be a thing found in some sort of Science Publication.
Thanks, for sharing. We appreciate the whole-hearted, gardener's effort!
The Praying Mantis has always been a favorite of mine. It seems like we see fewer and fewer of them with each passing year ... sigh ... I used to have a pet Praying Mantis living at the foot of my bed, as a boy of maybe, 10-years-old? Thanks, for the 'trip down Memory Lane'.
Just out of curiosity, what camera did you use to take that photo?
Best of the season to you and yours, Ron

Thanks Ron!
I too am from the 35mm generation lol. My Yashika with 135mm lens was my baby. Then, I saved my nickels and dimes and bought an 85-205mm ZOOM lens! I had arrived!
Now a quick snap back to modern times, I took this pic with my smart-phone, believe it or not. It's a Motorola Moto Z3. It has a 12 Megapixel camera with a 40x electronic zoom. It also has on-board editing software, making lighting adjustments and re-sizing/cropping a snap.
Technology today is amazing.
Thanks again for the complement!
Rick

I also like the blue dasher dragonflys. I don’t know why, but they always make me smile.
