Thanks Bon. We're dealing with a lot of the same, here. The blessings are so good though.
We don't have a storm shelter.
I have a nice batch of new tomato seedlings coming up now. These will be my fall crop. So far I have started Tuxhorn's Yellow & Red and a Sioux cross F7 hybrid, which I'm stabilizing.
I'm WAY behind on planting okra, corn and certain beans. Been moving our asparagus patch (I know it's not the usual season for this.) and that has taken up most of my time and energy. Fortunately, the wet weather is its friend, in this untimely move.
Ron has had no phone or Internet for at least 5 days. Can't wait for him to get it back.

Wow! Makes me tired, even looking at the photos! That was a good kind of "collusion!" What variety of tomato is it? I don't read Russian.

Sorry Bon,
I missed your earlier question. No, I don't have any purple garlic. The strongest garlic that I've encountered, myself, was Racombole. I don't have that one either. I'm pretty much down to an unnamed assortment of softnecks, which include a couple of the better known varieties. I have more hardneck than softneck. My hardneck is mainly from Mexico, which I brought up here, from one of my teaching visits, about 11 years ago.
What I've been really trying to increase is my elephant garlic. I can grow it like multiplier onions and use it the same way. Neither potato onions nor shallots seem to do well in our conditions. But elephant garlic does.

I can resonate with what you wrote. I worked for almost 9 years in the lowest paying job at the University (custodian). Just changed over to another position which pays significantly better. Things are still tight, but it's an improvement.
I am multiplying elephant garlic, in hopes of using it in place of onions.

This morning I could see vapor when I exhaled, while doing chores. It was gloriously cool for July in Oklahoma!
