Once this runt was given access to my raised bed, she took off. It's about 6.5 feet tall. How it set fruit in this heat is amazing, but it has a small mater on it as of today. I had a total of 9 plants and was able to save a good amount of seed.

When able, please post a picture of a couple of the fruit on a plate, and at least one cross cut, so we can see more of what the fruit is like. This may become a popular tomato for people in hot areas!

Hi George. This is one of the smaller ones. I've had some this size and some ping pong sized. Pretty nice tomato and sure worth saving.

That's a cool color. Now, I know why they call them, "Frosty Pink." Looks like a great salad tomato.

@bon, Buddy I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to ignore your post, I just didn’t see it. I’m a poor one to ask, because I really don’t eat raw tomatoes. Well, some I do, like black Cherry or Sun Gold, but I’m not wild about just eating raw tomatoes. My wife liked them. I only grow them cause they are unique.

I shared seeds with a friend from another forum and here was her result. She gave me permission to use her pictures.

I haven't been able to taste or smell a tomato since 2013, but they still look good! I enjoyed the read and all the photos that were posted. Thanks for sharing.

My friend reminded me they were a late variety. My grow out in 2018 was late. In fact, last tomato to bloom, but did bloom during hot weather, so it does have its pluses and minuses. This is one I nearly let go extinct. I guess extinct is a relative term since I’m sure someone, somewhere grows it, but it’s not available commercially that I know of and no one on any of the forums I frequent knew anything about it. It’s nothing special except to me.
My gardening journey was and is filled with unique varieties and I like seeds that have a story. I’ve had a lot of failures over the years. Some of them from trying to grow items not suited to my area. Oh but when you have success, all those failures fall away. You remember the good memories. This was a good memory.

Truly the best variety! I grew Seminole which is very similar to OTCP and to anyone else the diff would be a big "meh". To me OTCP is the arch angel of c moschata pumpkins and the Seminole pumpkin a peasantry among earthdwellers. LOL

It’s running later this year, but better late than never.

I wonder if it’s only in Texas that someone says a mid-June tomato is late. I grew up with the idea that it was a real accomplishment to have a tomato ready by the 4th of July.

When our tomatoes have withered, most states are just catching momentum. Here, I can generally nurse them though the heat and have a nice fall crop, but I’m a little too tired this year. I’m waiting for costoluto genevese and purple haze to ripen, then I’m mowing.
