Folks, I hate to move the meeting time around, especially after not meeting in January. But I'm going to do it in February and hope we can go back to our 2nd-Sunday-afternoon-of-the-month norm. I simply cannot make it until February 25. I've communicated with Ron (HeavyhitterOkra) and asked if he would like to take the meeting, holding it on the 11th, without me, and he declined, saying he'd rather wait until I could make it. I won't go into details, but suffice it to say that February will be quite a "wild ride" for the McLaughlin family. As I look "down the calendar" I suspect that things won't settle down until sometime in March.
We're coming up on time to start tomato seedlings. Personally, I don't like to start mine until March. But I will probably start a flat of Baker Family Heirloom Heirloom tomatoes, and have some to share at that meeting. I'm pretty sure that Ron will show up with some seedlings too. So, anyone who has some extra tomato seedlings might want to join in.
We have a little bit of time before needing to firm up the details. I've heard from a couple people, that they haven't been able to come out to our recent meetings, as the location is a bit far for them (about 15 miles North of Tahlequah). We'd be open to meeting somewhere else, at least occasionally. But we would need suggestions or offers for where to meet. So, if anyone has a preference and/or suggestion, speak up!
George
